I am an 845 FAN, They have been discontinued, I called the company and they sent me a pair of the newer 812's and they fit right out of the box. They are well padded, they have the stabilizing roll bar, and are assembled at least in the USA (I let them know I would rather they be made here) I returned the 846's, they were just awful. Toe box is too small, lack of solid leather on the uppers allows toes to slip into those weaker areas in the shoe, Certainly NOT the fit that the 845 was, and totally now made in China, and a huge disappointment and certainly NOT worth the $140 price tag.

I am older, tall and heavy so I need some good shoe support. This model provides good arch support and anti tilt/ twist resistance. I walk a lot and my feet do not get tired. Have worn this 800 model series for about 3 years. It's great.

I haven't worn them much because I only recently received them. However, they are comfortable, and made in the USA.

New balance is the only manufacturer to make athletic shoes in the USA and using union labor. Only about 25% of their shoes are made domestically. Be sure to check.
The 812 is made here in the USA and has been one of the best athletic walking shoes I have ever owned.
I will always buy New Balance Shoes that are made domestically

I have worn New Balance 811, 812 and 999 shoes for the last fifteen years.
New Balance shoes are durable, comfortable, good looking and they are
made in the USA. My last four pair were purchased through Amazon they
make it possible to find my size 15-4Es in the style I want.
